Oia is extremely popular — arrive at sunset viewing spots at least 90 minutes early in peak season.
Santorini has very limited flat terrain — many hotels have steep stairs and no lift access.
Book boat cruises at least 2 weeks in advance during July–August.
Best months: May–June and September–October for manageable crowds and pleasant temperatures.
